 #Let me just talk some of their reactions for a bit. You have Kerry who’s the one that finds them on the floor bleeding to death and during the entire episode is just completely distraught by the whole situation. Then there’s Benton who rushes down from surgery to the ER running as fast as he could to get to Carter who he mentored during Carter’s earlier years as a Med Student and resident and during the entire episode is just wanting to stay by Carter’s side and make sure he gets better. Abby just started working in the ER and all she’s used to is delivering babies in OB and she’s just completely overwhelmed by everything. She was just talking to Carter and everything was fine and Lucy, who she bonded a bit with, and helped Lucy fulfill a patients last wish. Chen just started working again in the ER with Carter, who were both med students before she left, and now she’s there having to watch her friend bleed to death. Elizabeth and Romano are the ones that do the operation on Lucy and they don’t give up on her. Elizabeth is there with Lucy the entire time and Romano…his reaction to this was the one that touched me the most. He’s always tough and never shows any sort of emotion but, he was just so sweet with Lucy, Don’t worry Ms. Knight, we’ve put far too much time and energy into your training to lose you now. and then when she dies, he loses it and is so upset and he can’t seem to accept her death and then he tries again to revive her until Elizabeth brings him back to the reality of what just happened. & Carter, once he was stabilized he just figures out that Lucy is dead and can’t seem to say anything else. I have a feeling he’s going to blame himself for her death. :’(

Lucy: It’s never been very easy for me to be here. Sometimes I felt like I would never fit in. 

Luka: That’s something I know about, but then I moved around a lot and now i’m used to it. 

Lucy: But, at the beginning of every day, i’ve been grateful that I’m walking on her of my own choosing and i’m not carried in on some gurney. And at the end of every day, if i’ve helped one person, it’s been worth it. That didn’t happen today and it makes me sad.

Luka: Hey, your day is not over. Maybe this is your one person.

Lucy: Doubt it.

Luka: Yes but uh, let’s see if i’m right.

Lucy: And miss the circus?

Luka: You know what? I have had enough circus for today. Come on.
